Model railroading is a hobby that many people enjoy and which over the past few years has become very popular with a growing number of model train enthusiasts. Model steam trains are the trains that most people want to collect, therefore that is what I am going to talk about in detail in my first post.
Steam trains are a part of our history; they were first brought to the United States in 1804 and were built by two men called Richard Trevithick and Andrew Vivian. There first model was used as a joke by many people but when they built the first full scale model steam trains people first began to understand how this was a great invention.
From then right up until today steam trains have been enjoyed however steam trains have almost completely been replaced now. This has created a massive demand for replica and model steam trains. These are very different to toy trains that almost everyone had as a child, these are much more detailed and often to scale replicas of steam trains as they once were, it is quite amazing how much time and effort is spent to create these amazing model trains.
Steam trains are an important part of our history and a great way for them to be remembered is by collecting and enjoying model steam trains.
